Doug Bassett has been a Microsoft Certified Professional since 1996. He was one of the first 100 MCSE's on Windows Server 2003 in the world. He is currently an MCT and MCITP:Enterprise on Windows Server 2008R2.He also holds certification from other venders like Cisco and Comptia.
As am MCT, Doug is required to maintain his certifications. If he isn't certified, he doesn't have as many work opportunities. But is certification relevant to the IT worker? Does it make sense to spend the time, and money, to obtain, and maintain, these premiere certifications?
In this video, Senior Technical Instructor Doug Bassett discusses some reasons why you may fine certification, not only useful, but indispensible. He discusses the awareness of interconnectivity between systems. He talks about ensuring vendors are doing what they should be doing. He even talks about how certification can open new opportunities for you and your company.
If you want to learn more about certification and how to ensure your systems are properly installed, configured, secured and maintained, we invite you to attend any of our courses in the Microsoft track at StormWind.
If you have any questions, feel free to email our Senior Microsoft Technical Instructor Doug Bassett at doug.bassett@stormwind.com.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
